Packaging Mania

Having hardly any experience with packaging, i think the best way to get my head across of how it interacts folds, and reacts etc is to just experiment and play with different folds and nets, so i have been going a little nuts, trying a few different things, one of the main things im trying to look out for, is packaging that doesn't require adhesive on the flaps. A few pics of what been going on, the finished product shows the weakness and flaws, as well as the strengths of the diffrent folds and locking systems really well, that you wouldn't have picked up just looking at pictures of the patterns.

this one was the only that had required glue, i really liked this net because i feel it was the most challenging, the top of the box pulls in and out, when pushed down, it closes it self.

above, is an early experiment, inspired by the fedex campaign, the scores at predetermined points allows the package to adapt to awkward shapes.
